Pine Tar


Last night the Detroit Tigers beat the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 2 of the World Series. A small controversy occurred in the first inning when it appeared that star Tiger pitcher 41 year old Kenny Rogers may have had a substance on his pitching hand. Pine Tar has been used by some pitchers in the past and is illegal to use. Rogers brushed off the controversy saying the smudge on his hand was just that, a smudge of dirt. I don't know about that but I'll let you, the reader judge for yourself from this picture during the first inning. Note the substance on Rogers pitching hand.
